The 418LT models utilize the latest technological advances to deliver efficient and reliable home comfort. The
compressor uses the new R410a refrigerant, which meets government standards for non-ozone-depleting appliances.

| Quiet Operation |
Units are designed to provide maximum comfort while keeping sound at a minimum. A heavy-duty insulation blanket surrounding the compressor and a wire fan guard significantly reduce operating sound. Heat pumps use a discharge muffler, along with QuietShift™ technology during the defrost cycle, to control sound.
The 18 SEER unit features the high-tech swept-wing fan blade, which provides superior sound control through new aerodynamic design.

| Quality Construction |
The system diagnostics are similar to automobile diagnostics, continually monitoring system operation, helping technicians with quick and accurate servicing. When matched with select thermostats, the diagnostics are able to help protect the entire system from abnormal operating conditions by detecting certain error codes and even shutting down the system if necessary to prevent compressor damage. In addition, matched components include Microban® protected drain pans which inhibit the growth of odor causing mold, mildew and bacteria. |
